Fortnight For Freedom (Archdiocese of Oklahoma City)Posted: 06/18/2012
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has called for Catholic and others concerned about threats to religious freedom to become involved in a Fortnight for Freedom, June 21 to July 4, 2012.
All are urged to participate in this 14-day period of prayer, education, and action in support of religious liberty. To begin the Fortnight for Freedom, a Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OKC) by Archbishop Paul S. Coakley on Friday, June 22, at 6pm.
A rally for religious freedom will be held at the Cox Convention Center on Saturday, June 23 from 1pm-4pm. This is an ecumenical event that will feature the following speakers: Archbishop Coakley, Steve Ray, William Federer, Teresa Collette, Rebecca Hamilton and more.
Admission is free ($10 suggested donation at the door)
