Liturgy of the Hours

Each part of the Mass is discussed to hlep the Catholic better appreciate the greatest prayer of the Churhc, from the composition of the Lectionary (how and why the Sunday and daily readings are what they are), to how the Liturgical Year operates.

The Liturgy of the Hours (The “Divine Office”) is also explained, and the participant will pray Evening Prayer as a “hands on” way of experiencing this official prayer of the Church.

Students are invited to bring their Liturgy of the Hours.

This free class will be held on Thursdays, Feb 17, 24; Mar 3, 10, from 7-8:30pm in Aquinas Hall at Church of the Madalene and will be taught by Deacon John Donnelly, J.D.
